FOOTBALLING legend Paul Gasgoigne looked fighting fit at a charity match as he scored a stunning goal.

Fans were amazed by how well the former England ace seemed. The Pav Cup was being played in honour of the late Toon goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek. Gazza, 50, even cracked jokes in the dressing room before yesterday’s game and cheekily gave the V-sign at one point. Just a year ago shocking pictures emerged of troubled Gazza covered in bruises and stumbling around outside his flat wearing a dressing gown. But the England hero, who has fought a long battle against his booze demons, appeared to be in good form. Spectator Robert Walton said: “Has there ever been a more talented and entertaining footballer than Gazza? So good to see him looking so well.” While Jeff Mulhern added: “That’s the best I’ve seen Gazza look for some time.” NUFC Leazes tweeted: “Gazza scoring in the Pav cup has made my day. He’s longed to have that goal scoring feeling in a match again, he’ll be buzzing.” Gazza, who was a surprise late addition to the team, went on to lift the trophy after the Newcastle Legends’ 7-1 win over Felling. Czech goalie Srnicek died aged 47 after suffering a heart attack while out on a run in 2015. It is the second time the charity match has been played. Other Newcastle stars who put on their boots again included Peter Beardsley, Darren Peacock, Keith Gillespie and Steve Harper. Meanwhile, Gazza’s stepdaughter Bianca Gascoigne enjoyed a break in Cyprus. The Celebrity Big Brother star, 30, flaunted her sexy curves in a black bikini. The blonde looked sizzling as she sunned herself by the pool.
