TRIBUTES have been paid to a teenage couple killed in a horror car smash in which a pal also died.

Ryan Barber, 19, and Trudi-Mae Kennell, 18, were in a BMW which crashed as they travelled from a walking weekend in Snowdonia.

Ryan is believed to have been driving when the car went out of control and hit a tree. Will Louch, 18, also died, however, fellow passenger Dan Wale, 18, survived. He was treated for neck, chest and abdominal injuries, and a suspected pelvic injury.

An 18-year-old woman, who was travelling in another vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She was later released as police continued to investigate the tragedy.

Officers appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened on Sunday afternoon in Baxterley, Warks. Ryan, ® who lived in nearby Atherstone, was training to become a scaffolder.

Trudi-Mae, also from Atherstone, worked as a leisure centre receptionist and lifeguard. She and Ryan had studied at the same school.

Ryan’s mum Tammi Garcia Sanchez, who lives in Spain, posted an emotional tribute on Facebook.

She wrote: “It’s with a broken heart... That my baby boy Ryan Barber passed away yesterday afternoon in a car accident along with his beautiful girlfriend.

“My heart is broken and I’m not sure how life will carry on without my baby boy.”

Another Facebook post read: “R.I.P Ryan Barber.

“From going to school with you through the years to playing football with you after them days, sad to see someone go so young. Thoughts are with your family and friends and all those who lost their lives as well.”

One tribute to Trudi-Mae said: “Trudi-Mae Kennell, you beautiful, beautiful girl.

“You made me so happy in so many ways, and I could sit here and write a book on how everyone feels on you, I could not name one person who could say a bad word about you.

“Beautiful, kind, caring and smart girl. I hope you have the best time up there. I love you so much. Rip to the two other young men who we lost last night also.”

A friend of the couple said yesterday: “Trudi and Ryan were inseparable. They were the most gorgeous, happy, loving couple. Their deaths have torn our lives apart.”

Will’s aunt Susan Louch, 52, said: “We are still in a state of shock. All we know is that he was on his way back from Snowdonia. It’s awful.”
