Prisoner ‘suicide’
A PRISONER on remand facing rape allegations has been found dead in jail.
Terence Crockett was charged with four rapes as well as possessing a hatchet and two knives in a public place and assaulting a woman.
But the Ministry of Justice confirmed that the 52-year-old prisoner had died in a suspected suicide.
Crockett, from Torquay, is the latest inmate to die in custody at the Victorian Exeter Prison.
In April, Lewis Francis, 20, charged with attempted murder, was found dead.
