Rat’s it at filthy pub
A PUB was shut and fined £32,000 after rats were found nesting under the fridge-freezer.
The kitchen was filthy with fresh rat droppings on the floor, a court heard.
An inspector described the conditions at the Red Lion in Chelmsford, Essex, as “the worst that I have seen in my 30-year career”.
The city’s magistrates issued a prohibition order halting the pub’s use as a food business with immediate effect.
