FILMING for the next series of The Great British Bake Off is now all done and dusted.

But fans will have to wait a few more weeks to see the show on its new home of Channel 4.

And given all the stories and gossip coming out of the TV tent recently, you would think the hosts and judges dare not eat anything on set apart from those cakes and bread samples baked by the contestants for fear of piling on the pounds.

But that, actually, was simply not the case. We have got our hands on the stars’ riders.

And we can reveal that Noel Fielding loved to gobble Hobnobs and Jaffa Cakes in between takes while Paul Hollywood wolfed down bacon sandwiches and sausages rolls among other things. Meanwhile, the slightly more weight-conscious Sandi Toksvig and Prue Leith grazed on salads.

A source said: “The boys probably needed to loosen their belts by the end whereas the women appeared to be a lot stricter when it came to daily diets.”

The Great British Bake Off launches on Channel 4 in the autumn with 10 episodes followed by two Christmas specials.
