Hotel manager (Sherrie Hewson) will get hitched to long-time admirer Monty (John Challis) in the next series.
Bosses have gone all out to make the wedding one of the wackiest in TV history.
Comedy legend John said: “It’s all very over the top.
“It’s an outrageous ceremony. It’s all done on a cliff edge on an island just off Benidorm. It’s all ridiculous and very funny.”
John has made guest appearances on the ITV comedy in the past but he’ll be joining full-time for the new series, which will start in January.
Speaking at the National Cat Awards in London yesterday, John said: “It’s wonderful filming scenes as Monty and Joyce.
“He loves her so desperately, and when he finally gets her it’s quite moving.”
John is known to millions for playing Boycie in Only Fools And Horses, who was famously married to Marlene (Sue Holderness).
He added: “I’m now on my second TV wife. Sherrie’s one of our funniest ladies.
“Me and her really hit it off from the start.” PETER Andre is on the hunt for Brits whose homes need a new look. He’s putting his overalls back on after bosses at digital channel Quest Red revived his show for a new series. Peter said: “I can’t wait to get on my dungarees and get out my paint brush and surprise some lovely people with a much-needed home makeover! So if you know anyone who deserves this, let us know.”
