CAMPING IT UP
WHO wants to pay extra for their holiday? Campsites.co.uk has found a selection of great glamping sites where prices do not rise in August with availability until the end of summer.
OWL VALLEY GLAMPING: A family three-night stay at this off-grid site near Bideford, Devon, is £270. The bell tents are widely spaced and a stream is great for keeping drinks cool. The valley is full of wildlife with Westward Ho! and Bideford popular beach resorts nearby.
LARKHILL TIPIS AND YURTS: Stay in a Scandinavian Lavvu at this award-winning site in Carmarthenshire. Tipi-like tent sleeps four on proper beds and there’s a campfire area. Near Cardigan Bay, there’s a good chance of seeing dolphins. Four nights from £290.

FERNWOOD GLAMPING: A five-night stay in the shepherd’s hut at Fernwood Glamping in Ringwood on the edge of the New Forest costs £340. There’s no electricity, with lighting provided by fairy lights, lanterns and torches.
PASTURE WOOD HOLIDAYS: Stay in a luxury, en-suite glamping pod in Cumbria, with the option of adding a wood-fired hot tub. Four nights from £344 or £444, including the hot tub.
KEEPERS MEADOW: This cute off-the-beaten-track glamping site in Norfolk has its own area of woodland and just three bell tents, each with real beds and their own bathroom facilities. The River Bure sits alongside and canoe hire can be arranged on site. Four nights for £350.
