MORATA TO DENY SPURS
Blues set for Wembley draw Wolves in mood to smash 40-point handicap
PEARSON’S
THE first Premier League game at Wembley Stadium is this weekend’s highlight with a meeting of last season’s top two.
Spurs are looking to break a club record of 14 successive home league wins when they welcome champions Chelsea to the home of English football.
The Blues have a good recent record against their London rivals, losing just two of the last 17 competitive games. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are 21-20 favourites at BetVictor, with the visitors 5-2 and the draw 12-5.
The sides met at the same venue in the semi-final of the FA Cup in April, with Chelsea winning 4-2.
Tomorrow, I expect new boy Alvaro Morata to score and the Blues to take a point from a 1-1 draw, which is priced at 6-1 with BetVictor.
Swansea host Man United at lunchtime today on the back of a 0-0 draw at Southampton, where they didn’t have a shot on target.
That goalless draw does mean that the Swans are unbeaten in their last six, but I don’t think they will be able to cope with the pace, power and ability of this current United side.
Jose Mourinho’s men are 1-3 to take the points today, with Swansea 11-1 and the draw 4-1.
Swansea haven’t kept a clean sheet in 12 Premier League games against United – Dai Davies was the last Swans keeper to keep a clean sheet in this fixture, back in December 1982 in the old Division One. So United to win to nil at evens is the recommendation.
A market that really interests me is the Player of the Year, where I am with United’s Paul Pogba.
If Manchester rivals City win the title, I think two or three players could win the coveted individual prize. But if United are champions then the French ace will be the key.
United are 11-4 from 7-2 with BetVictor for the title, with Pogba 10-1 from 14s for Player of the Year. Go to BetVictor.com. THIRTY-FOUR customers had Romelu Lukaku (left) to open the scoring in the 33rd minute and Manchester United to win 3-0 against West Ham last Sunday in our £50,000 free-to-play Golden Goal – nobody had the correct 4-0 scoreline. As a result there is £75,000 in the prize pool for tomorrow’s game at Wembley.
