A HIG HIT FOR MOLL

-

ROD Stewart’s DNCE. Joe Jonas’ THIS year’s X Factor winner’s song could be an EDM banger thanks to hitmaker Jonas Blue.

The DJ/producer, who has three Top 10s under his belt, is top of Simon Cowell’s wishlist to pen the 2017 winning anthem.

It is the latest move by the music mogul to freshen up his flagship ITV talent show and keep the songs modern and on trend.

A TV source said: “Jonas is Simon’s top pick for this year’s winner’s song.

“He wants The X Factor to be current so that the winners have longevity and resonate with the young music-loving public.

“Parents and older people may watch The X Factor but they don’t generally become fans who will part with their money afterwards.

“Jonas can create a pop smash that will do well.”

The winner’s song was shaken up last Mollie King year when Ed Sheeran penned When Christmas Comes Around for 2016 champ Matt Terry. Jonas, real name Guy Robin, is already affiliated with X Factor as he’s recorded 2015 winner Louisa Johnson’s next single. The man behind summer smash Mama has also teamed up with Craig David on an upcoming track too.

An X Factor spokesperson wouldn’t be drawn on the chances of Jonas writing the song saying: “no plans have been considered for the winner’s single yet.”
