Eva so bad!

- By JENNIFER DUNKLEY

CORRIE actress Cath Tyldesley is set for the wedding day from hell.

Her sexy barmaid character Eva Price has been scheming to take her cheating fiancé Aidan Connor for all he has after discovering his affair with Maria.

But her revenge plot erupts in an epic cat fight – and a sensational twist.

The final piece of her plan is to get him down the aisle – and humiliate Maria (Samia Longchambon) in the process.

But what she doesn’t know is that Maria has discovered she’s been faking her pregnancy – and plans to spill the beans before the pair can tie the knot.

As scorned Maria gatecrashes their big day, the two women come face to face – and end up fighting each other in a water fountain.

So will the wedding go ahead or is it all over for Eva and Aidan (Shayne Ward)?

Heated

While the scenes sound thrilling viewing, actress Cath says they proved the most difficult she has filmed.

She says: “These are the most challenging scenes I’ve ever shot and it was brilliant fun.

“It’s the most action-packed wedding ever and the stunts were incredible – we had some big burly guys on standby.

“We were in the fountain for about two-and-a-half hours in total. But it was heated, so it was like a jacuzzi.

“Samia and I were shattered by the end as we were constantly trying to drown each other. I had six wedding dresses in total and they were so heavy!

“We needed quite a few takes. The whole wedding episode took two weeks to film in total.”

This storyline is the centrepiece of Corrie’s new six episodes a week – with the wedding episode marking the first Wednesday double helping.

The two actresses made the extra time count – and they didn’t hold back when it came to their scrap.

“We had a stunt coordinator but he basically just told us to go for it,” explains Cath. “So we did!Terrified

“By the end we were pruned from the water. And we got the giggles so many times.

“I don’t have any real-life injuries but my fake tan was completely ruined by the end. Eva did lose some of her weave in the process, too.

“I had really wanted to do something physical for a while so this was the culmination of a brilliant storyline for me.”

But Cath, 33, hints the day could take a turn for the worse for Eva in a secret twist.

She says: “At one point I am up high for a big scene – I can’t say any more or give it away but I am terrified of heights so the stunt was a challenge.

“Something happens which I can’t reveal, but filming it was terrifying.” The drama kicks off on Eva’s hen do when she makes it her mission to embarrass Maria.

After cancelling the classy dinner planned by Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews) and moving the celebrations to the Rovers, she sets out to ridicule Maria.

The humiliated hairdresser pretends her son Liam is ill so she won’t be able to attend the wedding the next day – but then

unearths the truth about Eva’s pretend pregnancy.

Maria sets off to tell Aidan the truth – but the guilt-stricken factory boss has already come clean to Eva.

“Aidan tells Eva about the affair and it’s a realgame says changer for her,” Cath. “Even when she found out, she still really loved him.

“She can see the sincerity in his eyes and that he does really

love her when he confesses.

“She had the day planned out, she had the recent plot in her mind and now suddenly he’s offering her everything she ever wanted and confessing.

“When Maria bursts into the wedding Eva doesn’t care because he has already confessed.

“She’s quite smug at that point because she doesn’t know Maria has found out she’s faking the pregnancy.” Cath admits it was strange putting on a wedding dress again after her marriage to personal trainer Tom Pitfield last year. “It was so weird wearing a wedding dress again,” she laughs.

“I sent a picture to my Tom and he said it felt weird too.

“But it was very different to my real-life wedding dress.

“I choose all of Eva’s outfits and I picked it.

“The lady in the shop was like: ‘Do you think it could be any bigger?’ I laughed.

“You could fit a whole family in there!”

¬ÊA sensational week of Corrie kicks off on ITV with all-new double episodes on Monday, September 18.
