ROY HODGSON has been handed the job of rescuing Crystal Palace after persuading them he has not been scarred by his England flop.

Hodgson signed a two-year deal with the Eagles understood to be worth £50,000 a week, with a £1m bonus for keeping them in the Premier League. He succeeds Dutchman Frank de Boer, who was sacked yesterday after just 77 days in charge at Selhurst Park.
