Stag do ‘rip off’

A RUNAWAY bride who allegedly fled with her fiancé’s £13,000 stag do kitty has been arrested.

Rachel Doran fleeced Chris Mahone and 29 of his pals by setting up a fake trip to Ibiza, it is claimed.

She reportedly agreed to organise the getaway before Chris, 27, and his friends arrived at Leeds Bradford Airport to discover that the trip was a sham.

Their boarding passes were forgeries and frantic phone calls revealed there was no hotel booked for them on the party isle.

Doran, 29, from Cleator Moor, Cumbria, was seized on Monday after allegedly hiding out at a caravan park.

A police spokesman said: “A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of fraud.”

It is believed that she had already been released on bail for suspected credit card fraud.
