BRIT SOLDIERS IN COURT FOR NEO-NAZI RAP

‘Race-hate’ troops were ‘members’ of banned group

SQUADDIES accused of being neo-Nazis wanted a white-only Britain and to wage an all-out race war, a court heard.

The three men, including two British soldiers, are charged with being members of banned far-right group National Action.

The men allegedly exchanged racist messages in a chat group and had dreams of an all-out war against non-whites.

Lance Corporal Mikko Vehvilainen also allegedly had a document likely to be useful for terrorism. He had a copy of a text by Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik, say prosecutors.

The “2083: A European Declaration of Independence” was shared online by the far-right mass murderer just before he killed 70 people in 2011.

Vehvilainen appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in central London yesterday with Private Mark Barrett and Alexander Deakin. All three of the men wore grey jumpers.

Vehvilainen, 32, of Brecon, Powys, is said to have posted white supremacy comments on a Christian discussion website and had pepper spray, the court heard. Deakin, 22, from Birmingham, allegedly sent “ethnic cleansing operations” to people over Skype.

He is charged with possession of documents likely to be useful to a person preparing to commit an act of terrorism.

National Action became the first extreme right-wing group to be banned under terrorism laws last year.

Deakin and Vehvilainen gave no indication of pleas, while Cyprus-based Barrett pleaded not guilty.

All three defendants were remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey on September 21.
