Murder case man in test
A MAN accused of murdering an elderly dog walker will be assessed by a psychiatrist before entering a plea, a court heard.
Alexander Palmer, 24, is charged with the murder of 83-year-old grandfather Peter Wrighton, of Banham, Norfolk.
The body of retired BT worker Mr Wrighton was found in woodland near the village of East Harling on August 5. He had been repeatedly stabbed in the neck and head.
Palmer, of Cringleford, Norwich, appeared at a 12-minute hearing held at the city’s crown court yesterday.
The case was adjourned until November 17.
