ANDREW HENDERSON is convinced London’s fairy tale can come true at the expense of at least one Super League club.

The Championship side are in the hunt for promotion via the Million Pound Game.

If the Broncos get into that dramatic do-or-die shootout, it will mean either Leigh, Widnes or Catalans are automatically relegated.

Victory in the Million Pound Game would then also send a second of that big-hitting trio down to the Championship.

To add extra spice to the tension, London’s remaining two Middle 8s games are against Widnes and Leigh.

Broncos coach Henderson said: “The dream is alive and it will be some fairy tale if we do it.

“I have the belief and confidence that we can deliver. We are ready for Super League.”

Survive

Henderson has stabilised the club since they were relegated three years ago and they now have a permanent home in Ealing.

And he is convinced the rebuilding project, on and off the field, will help London survive in the top flight.

The boss said: “We would be competitive and offer something to Super League, and we’d be there on merit.

“The club has had a nomadic existence in the past but we have a vision and plan now. We’re ready to be a force again in Super League.”

The Broncos, who lie sixth, one point behind Leigh, need to beat both Widnes on Saturday and then Centurions.

They are underdogs, despite only losing by two points to Warrington and Catalans.

He added: “We have nothing to lose and everything to gain but those clubs are under real pressure.

“Some of their players will have agents putting a few feelers out because some clubs will have to cut costs if they go into the Championship.

“Does that affect their concentration? I do not know. But players at those clubs will be worried.”
