CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH ACTION

-

NORWICH coach Daniel Farke told his team to blow Burton away but the visitors held strong on a frustrating night at Carrow Road.

The Canaries huffed and puffed throughout a dismal opening half, failing to muster a shot on target.

The Brewers had failed to pick up a single point away this season and were battered 5-0 at Leeds at the weekend.

But all Norwich could manage were a couple of wayward efforts from winger Josh Murphy and striker Nelson Oliveira.

The only excitement came when Burton defender Jake Buxton flattened Oliveira off the ball seconds before halftime and the pair carried on arguing in the tunnel.

Despite again bossing proceedings after the break Norwich couldn’t find a knockout blow, although midfielder Wes Hoolahan and Murphy finally forced successive saves from keeper Steve Bywater on the hour.
