OFF TO A FLIER Fellaini sparks Jose boys

- By DAVE ARMITAGE

SUPERSUB Marouane Fellaini rose to the occasion at Old Trafford last night.

The Manchester United midfielder was an early replacement for a limping Paul Pogba, who left the field with what looked like a hamstring injury.

And the Belgian helped settle the home side’s nerves when Ashley Young, who started the night at right-back, crossed for Fellaini to head in the opener.

Jose Mourinho made a series of changes but kept Romelu Lukaku in his starting line-up, and the striker repaid his faith just after the break.

A short corner saw Daley Blind cross from the left and the Belgian rose to head home his side’s second.

Fellaini then turned provider late on when he crossed for another sub, England striker Marcus Rashford, to wrap up the points with United’s third and his first Champions League goal.
