SNARLING bride Eva Price lunges at her love rival Maria Connor in what has been dubbed Corrie’s bitchiest ever catfight.

The blonde beauty ignores the fact she is in her wedding dress and dives on the soggy brunette in a fountain.

Then she pulls Maria’s hair and dunks her head under the water as the pair’s long-simmering feud finally boils over.

The amazing scenes on the day of Eva’s wedding to cheating Aidan Connor are shown tonight.

Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria, said: “The director gave us complete free rein to go as wild as we wanted to with each other.

“There were no rehearsals... we just went for it, all ad-libbed and full of expletives.

“We were rolling around in the water and throwing each other in. She grabbed my hair and kept dunking my head under water.

“I ripped out all her hair extensions and threw the tiara at her.

“I could not dunk her under because she was in a full wedding dress, which was so heavy.”

She added: “Eva is so glamorous, like a Disney princess, and we wanted it to be her undoing, which of course meant her weave had to go. It was hilarious.”

The drama erupts after Eva (Cath Tyldesley) finally decides to go ahead with her wedding to Aidan (Shayne Ward), who had a year-long affair with Maria.

But Maria turns up at the venue and storms the bash in scenes that will leave fans on the edge of their seats. It marks the soap going up to six episodes a week. ¬
