Jungle stint will decide star’s future with wife
TV star Ant McPartlin’s 11-year marriage to Lisa is under strain as he battles addiction – with the couple rarely seen together.
His forthcoming five-week stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle Down Under could be crucial, pals fear.

The I’m a Celeb star’s wife was spotted walking their dog in London without her telly host husband. The 40-year-old was still wearing her wedding ring, but she looked very glum in a tracksuit and raincoat. Her appearance comes weeks after the TV presenter, 41, returned home following two months of rehabilitation for drug and alcohol abuse.

Since the shocking revelations, they have barely been seen together, preferring to walk their pooch Hurley alone.
And insiders revealed last night that it is because Lisa, a Strictly Come Dancing make-up artist, is still upset with Geordie star Ant after he admitted “putting her through hell”.
One said: “She’s had a rough year. And she’s made it clear it’s because of Ant.
“They’ve hardly been seen in public together since he came back from rehab a month ago.”
The insider added: “Lisa has really thrown herself into work at Strictly. She’s having lots of banter with the stars. But Ant isn’t mentioned much.”
Soon Ant will be jetting across the globe to the Aussie jungle for a five-week stint, including the three weeks he will be presenting ITV’s I’m a Celebrity with his pal Declan Donnelly.
Lisa has hardly said a word about her husband in a flurry of tweets, instead choosing to talk about her work on the dance show, favourite make-up, and the celebrity contestants.
She has taken the time to reply to fans, but said little about his return.
Ant has previously credited his wife of 11 years for her “amazing” support.
He said: “I’ve put Lisa through hell with mood swings and depression and how it affects you.
“I’m very sorry about the effect it has on partners. This kind of stuff puts strains on any marriage.”
Ant revealed last month he became dependent on booze and prescription drugs after a botched knee operation left him in agony.
A spokesman for Ant did not comment last night.
