WE’LL HAVE REAL BLAST

Fernandinho’s City goal vow

- by JEREMY CROSS

MANCHESTER CITY want to blast their way to the title this season, according to Fernandinho.

Free-scoring City are top on goal difference after thrashing Crystal Palace to make it 21 goals in six games.

It’s the third time this season they have hit five or more after smashing five past Liverpool and six past Watford. Leroy Sane opened the floodgates before Raheem Sterling struck twice after the break. Sergio Aguero notched his 176th City goal, one short of the club record, with substitute Fabian Delph completing the rout. And

Fernandinho claims City have no intention of going easy on anyone this season.

“If you compare with last year, we created so many chances to score goals but we didn’t score,” he said. “This year we just score.

“I don’t know what has changed to be honest.

“I am not a specialist to talk about that, but I am so happy we are scoring goals.

“This is important because one of the things that can decide the title is goal difference and we are on the right track.

“It is just the beginning of the Premier League. We all know how tough it is.

“The most important thing is to get to December in the same level we are in now and try to get the most number of points possible.

“Then we can arrive there in February or March with a good chance to fight for the title.”
