WOLVES can only get better after sweeping Burton aside to go second in the table, says Diogo Jota.

The attacking midfielder opened the scoring with his sixth goal since arriving at Molinuex on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Jota said: “We want to keep going and keep improving. We want to give the Championship a different game, but we know we must compete with this kind of team.

“I am happy to have scored again, but what is important is helping the team. I feel I am playing very well here and I want to keep going.

“All of the games are very difficult, but, of course, we want to have more games like this.

“After losing a game, it is good to have another one in just a few days. It was a good opportunity to win again quickly. Because of the international break we don’t need to slow down. There are no excuses. We should just keep going.”

Jota is part of a sizeable Portuguese contingent at Wolves, with manager Nuno Espirito Santo picking six of his countrymen in the starting line-up at the Pirelli Stadium.

Moroccan midfielder Romain Saiss got his first goal for Wolves and Portuguese teenager Ruben Vinagre added a third before half-time.

Brazilian striker Leo Bonatini capped the win by slamming home a fourth goal after the break.

Brewers defender Jake Buxton said: “We are out of the bottom three, which is the main objective that we reiterated that at the start of the season.

“We have got to stay in this division.”
