ASMIR BEGOVIC insists he is relishing Bournemouth’s battle at the wrong end of the table.

The goalkeeper was part of the Chelsea squad which strolled to the title last season.

But Begovic said: “It’s a different challenge, going from chasing titles to staying in the league, but one I relish too.

“I am sure this club has a bright future and will be challenging with the bigger teams, but you cannot have it all and it’s nice to be playing regularly again and finding my groove.

“I believe in this team. I see it on a daily basis and our performances in the last month or so show we are a good team and tough to play against.

“If a couple of things click for us, we can go on a run and climb up the table.”

Jermain Defoe, Joshua King and Marc Pugh all misfired against Leicester while Junior Stanislas was denied by Kasper Schmeichel as the Cherries blew the chance to pick up only their second win of the season.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe admits his side need to work on their finishing and Begovic added: “We created enough chances to win two or BOURNEMOUTH (4-4-1-1): Begovic 6; A Smith 6, Francis 7, Ake 7, Daniels 6; Pugh Surman 6 (Ibe 69, 5), L COOK 8, 6, Stanislas 7 (Fraser 88); King Subs: 7; Defoe 6 (Afobe 82). YOUR TURN: Which midfielder scored in the Cherries’ 1-0 home win against Leicester last season? three games. If we keep creating them, I’m sure with the quality we have we will put them away.

“If we keep doing that, we will be okay and will start picking up wins.

“The quality that the boys up front have is fantastic, so we are not too worried.” Leicester could have snatched an undeserved winner but Shinji Okazaki was wide with the goal at his mercy midway through the second half.

Jamie Vardy played the whole 90 minutes, despite being left out of the latest England squad due to a hip injury.

Foxes chief Craig Shakespeare said: “He will get a nice rest now during the international break.

“It shows his character that he wanted to play for us while he is carrying this slight injury.

“Jamie has been there all the time for England whether he has played or not, whether in the squad or not.

“He has played with this injury and will come back stronger for it.”
