HELEN’S TOT IS ALREADY HERE
CALL The Midwife star Helen George’s newborn girl arrived so early she was able to attend her own baby shower.
The actress yesterday posted a picture on Instagram which showed her cradling her unnamed daughter.
And she wrote in a caption: “When your baby turns up early for her own baby shower, welcome to the world little one. “What an amazing day, we have the best friends.” Her Instagram picture also showed Helen and her partner, co-star Jack Ashton, cutting a celebration cake at the baby shower.
The tot came as a double surprise to the couple after they chose not to find out about the sex of the child before the baby’s arrival. Helen revealed she was expecting her first child last month after flaunting her bump in a figure-hugging dress at the TV Choice Awards. And yesterday, fans gushed over the news of the birth. One said: “She obviously didn’t want to miss out on a party, congratulations, you make a lovely little family xx”
Another added: “Awwww huge congratulations this is wonderful xxxx”
Helen, 33, who plays Trixie Franklin in the BBC One drama, is planning to return to work after spending time with the family’s new addition. After being showered with gifts by her fellow cast and crew last month, the actress revealed: “Beautiful send-off from the best crew at Call The Midwife.”
She added: “No plans to leave the show, just a bit of time off.”
Helen, who starred on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015, split from her husband Oliver Boot around the same time after just three years of marriage.
Then last year, the actress revealed that she was dating her fellow drama star Jack after falling for him during filming in South Africa.
