A PUNTER is set to win a £1.7million Georgian mansion with its own nine-hole golf course for just £25.

Donna Pirie, 54, has decided to offer up her home, set in 32 acres of land, as the prize in a Christmas competition.

All entrants have to do is buy a £25 ticket and complete a festive-themed crossword.

The winner – drawn on December 3 from those who correctly solve the clues – will become the new owner of the posh pad.

It boasts six en suite bedrooms, a snooker room, hot tub, wine cellar, tennis courts, gym, nine-hole golf course and helicopter landing pad.

The property also comes fully furnished with the pre-paid services of a housekeeper and team of ® groundsmen. Donna will also cover a year’s worth of utility bills, stamp duty and £2,000 towards legal fees. She plans to donate £5 from every ticket sold to The Yard, a charity which runs adventure play services for youngsters with disabilities and their families in eastern Scotland. The mum-of-two hopes to sign up 200,000 punters to raise £1m for the good cause. Johnston Lodge in Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, was built in 1780 but has been fully refurbished. Donna, a retired businesswoman who owned successful gift firms, said she no longer needs the house she bought eight years ago. She added: “I’ve worked hard all my life and I have the chance to do something to make a difference.”
