SHAMED Harvey Weinstein jetted off to rehab last night after his British wife left him over sex abuse claims.

The so-called “God” of Hollywood fled a growing scandal on a private plane to Europe while his empire collapsed over allegations that he abused stars. The movie mogul, 65, said he had encouraged his designer wife Georgina and their two children to leave him after actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie claimed they had been victims of his unwanted sexual advances. Model Cara Delevingne also last night claimed Weinstein told her and another woman to kiss in his hotel room. She refused but claims the mogul tried to kiss her on the lips. In a statement, Weinstein said: “I am in counselling and perhaps, when I am better, we can rebuild. “Over the last week, there has been a lot of pain for my family that I take responsibility for. “I sat down with Georgina and we discussed the possibility of a separation and I encouraged her to do what was in her heart. I love her and I love our children.” Shaken Georgina blasted the ® Oscar-winning producer’s actions as “unforgivable” and praised those suffering for speaking out.

More Brit stars slammed the shamed mogul as accusations mounted against him.

Trainspotting actor Ewan McGregor tweeted he was getting his “just deserts” amid rape claims and allegations he had asked stars to massage him naked.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson, 27, said she was “awestruck” by the women who have come forward.

She was pictured looking alarmed as Weinstein roughly grabbed her arms at a Bafta dinner in London in 2011.

Wrong

However, Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan, 31, broke ranks to defend the disgraced producer.

She said on Instagram: “I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now.

“He’s never harmed me or did anything to me – we’ve done several movies together. Everyone needs to stop – I think it’s wrong.”

The scandal erupted following claims by three women that Weinstein raped them, as reported in US magazine The New Yorker.

More than a dozen others say he harassed them, including A-listers Paltrow and Jolie.

The movie titan’s spokeswoman said: “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr Weinstein.”

But his brother Bob said: “Harvey is obviously a very sick man.”
