Dubai hell Brit driver jail let-off

A BRITISH man who was facing six months’ jail in Dubai for flicking the middle finger is flying home after his victim failed to attend court.

Jamil Mukadam says he flashed the gesture – ruled a public obscenity in the United Arab Emirates – at another motorist while driving a hire car.

The 23-year-old IT worker flew home to Leicester but was arrested and put in a cell when he returned to Dubai last month. He has now got his passport back after officers confiscated it.

Jamil said: “Relieved doesn’t even cover how I’m feeling right now.”
