BIRTHDAY girl Lauren Trent told a court how her skin started coming off in her hands after she was allegedly sprayed with acid by the ex-boyfriend of Towie star Ferne McCann.

Lauren said her neck began blistering after Arthur Collins, 25, hurled a liquid across a crowded dance floor.

Describing the alleged attack she said: “It was like when you open a can of Coke.

“There was this hissing sound like an aerosol. It touched my neck and my skin was coming off in my hands.”

Jurors also heard from Phoebe Georgiou, who was taken to a specialist burns unit.

She said she suffered from “burning” skin, and wept as she gave evidence.

Collins, of Broxbourne, Herts, admits throwing the liquid in Mangle nightspot but claims he didn’t know it was acid.

He and pal Andre Phoenix, 21, of Tottenham, north London, deny five counts of causing GBH with intent, and 11 counts of assault causing actual bodily harm in Hackney, east London, last Easter.

The trial continues at Wood Green Crown Court. OFFICE “presenteeism” is leading to staff spending two weeks a year at work while unwell, according to Nottingham Business School.
