Car killer gets 9yrs

A HIT-and-run driver who killed a pensioner after touching speeds of 90mph has been jailed for nine years.

Terry Poole, 42, struck Salvatore Bongiovi, 80, after making off from a petrol station in Walsall, West Mids, without paying for fuel.

Poole, of no fixed address, was in a Mercedes with stolen number plates.

He was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
