VIBRANT CHORDS TO HIT RIGHT NOTE

-

3.00 ''EMMAUS It is quite possible that (nb) is better than a handicapper. He was backed to make a winning debut over track and trip and didn’t disappoint when getting up close home to score by a neck, though probably value for more than the winning margin. He then went to France and was not beaten far behind this year’s Group One Jacques Le Marois winner Al Wukair. He has a long absence to overcome but does look a horse with potential and the yard remains in decent form. The race didn’t really go Von Blucher’s way yesterday but he had ran a cracker in a Listed affair at Redcar the time before. Sir Dancealot drops in grade and a possible at his best and so is Rene Mathis, who races over his optimum trip.

3.30 The booking of Ryan Moore for VIBRANT CHORDS (nap). He had no answer to Spring Loaded in the Portland but was too good for the rest and the winner has gone on to boost the form. The yard remain in sparkling form and boast a 40% strike-rate over the last 14 days.

Jumira Bridge also hails from an in-form stable and comes here on the back of a solid performance at Yarmouth. That was his first outing since being gelded and there may be more to come. Just Glamorous bounced back to form when making all to score at Ascot last week and remains well treated on his best form despite carrying a penalty.

4.30 Puramente went close on the all-weather at Kempton last weekend and if he can transfer that to the turf then he should make his presence felt.

DREAM OF DELPHI was a very easy winner at Lingfield back in August but could never get competitive at Redcar on her latest outing. She is better than that and the fitting of a visor might just help. Mark Johnston has a good record at this track and it would come as no surprise to see his Amazing Rock step up on previous efforts. He caught the eye staying on strongly at Wolverhampton earlier this month and may just be coming to himself.

5.50 ESSENAITCH has won two of his last three starts and makes plenty of appeal as he escapes a penalty for his course and distance win last week. Today’s rider was on top then and her 7lb claim is an added bonus. Scoones broke his duck with a very easy Lingfield success and may have more to offer as that was just his fifth outing. Hat-trick seeking Hajaam has paid the price for winning his last two starts very easily with a 12lb hike by the handicapper. He is also lightlyraced and unexposed, so cannot be ruled out. Irish trainer John Patrick Shanahan has a 22% strike-rate with his runners in the UK, so What Wonders Weave should be noted in the market.
