Amanda: I should have wed Simon

BRITAIN’S Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has teased that she and Simon Cowell could have become an item.

The TV presenter and West End star claims they’ve always enjoyed “a flirty and fun relationship”.

And she reckons they might have become a couple if they had not found love with other people.

Amanda said: “I absolutely bloody adore Simon. He is one of the naughtiest people I know.

“I suppose our relationship changed from being quite flirty and fun with each other to settling down with people we are both in love with but still having that flirty, nice behaviour.

“We are too involved with other people for it to ever be anything.

“But I have always loved him because he’s really good at not giving you b ******* .”

Amanda and Cowell have been good pals for many years.

When he was a Pop Idol judge and she was an actress in hairdressing drama Cutting It in 2003, TV’s “Mr Nasty” admitted: “I really fancy Amanda. She has a glint in her eye and she’s very cute.”

Amanda married record producer Chris Hughes in 2008 and the couple have two children.

After several high-profile girlfriends, Cowell has settled down with the US socialite Lauren Silverman and the pair have a three year old son Eric.

Daring Amanda – who loves to shock viewers with her low-cut frocks – tells the new Attitude Magazine: “Without Britain’s Got Talent, I’d still be an actor and I’d be a lot poorer.

“BGT has opened so many doors.”
