Green blasts porn claims

THERESA May’s right hand man was last night clinging to his job after a police officer claimed porn was found on his computer.
First Secretary of State Damian Green said an ex-police chief ’s allegations were “completely untrue”.
Bob Quick, who used to command the Met’s anti-terrorism squad, claimed that hardcore porn had been found on a PC in his Westminster office during a probe into government leaks in 2008.
He is set to give evidence on what was found to a Cabinet Office inquiry today.
The probe was already looking into claims Mr Green made an inappropriate sexual advance to Tory activist Kate Maltby. She said he touched her knee at a bar in 2015 and sent her a “suggestive” text after seeing a picture of her posing in a corset in a newspaper.
The Welshman has also denied that allegation.
Home Secretary Amber Rudd insisted the Government would not fall if Mr Green was forced to resign, even though he is one of PM Mrs May’s oldest and closest friends.
Two Conservative MPs, Anna Soubry and Heidi Allen, called for Mr Green to stand aside from his post as First Secretary of State during the investigation.
The married MP for Ashford in Kent denied the fresh allegation, saying Mr Quick is trying to “cause me political damage by leaking false information”.
Tory MP Chris Pincher has “voluntarily stood down” from the Whips’ Office and referred himself to his party’s complaints procedure and police following allegations over his behaviour, No10 said.
Mrs May is today expected to outline in a speech moves to stamp out inappropriate behaviour.
