-

FORMER England footballer Dennis Wise landed in Australia last night after a shock signing for I’m A Celebrity.

The Chelsea legend was the second star to arrive in Brisbane for a taste of the Jungle.

Dennis, 50, was known for his feisty style of play on the pitch despite standing 5ft 5in.

ITV bosses hope he will get stuck in on the hit show. An insider said: “They are hoping sparks will fly.” But last night he was coy about his appearance.

He joked: “I’m just here to visit relatives. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here and I’m looking forward to getting a tan.”

Midfielder Dennis played 21 times for England during a celebrated career. But his ® From ANDREW JAMESON in Australia football career went quiet after quitting an executive role at Newcastle in 2009.

YouTuber Jack Maynard, 22, brother of pop star Conor, was the first celeb to land. He dodged questions, only confirming he was “really tired” after the flight.

He has 1.2million subscribers for his vlog, but one telly fan tweeted yesterday: “Jack Maynard? Who?”

Others expected to appear include Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo and former Geordie Shore babe Charlotte Crosby. Corrie’s Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz Brown, is set to fly in with Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas.
