THE hit gangster drama portrays the violent Shelby clan no-one wants to cross.

But it seems in real life, the cast is just as fierce.

Helen McCrory, who plays Aunt Polly, admits they are a close-knit bunch and if any newcomers do not click with them it causes problems.

She teased: “When you don’t like someone everyone kind of knows!”

Peaky Blinders – set in post-World War One Birmingham – is back this week with new characters. Game Of Thrones star Aidan Gillen will portray “hard-nut gypsy” Aberama Gold.

And Happy Valley’s Charlie Murphy arrives as trade union representative Jessie who will become a new love interest for Tommy (Cillian Murphy).

The fourth series will see The Shelbys up against the Mafia, led by Luca Changretta (Adrien Brody). Cillian says: “It’s the greatest threat there’s been for them. You can’t get bigger.”

Season five has already been ordered and a movie could also be on the way. Good news for its huge celeb fan base, including Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.
