SMITTEN Debbie McGee was spotted without her wedding ring as she revealed there was “magic” between her and Strictly dance pro Giovanni Pernice.

DEBBIE McGee admits she and her Strictly dance partner have a “magic” connection.

She hinted there might be truth to rumours that weeks of hot rehearsals sparked an intimate bond between her and Giovanni Pernice.

Debbie, 59, whose magician husband Paul Daniels died last year, admitted for the first time that she has a “deep connection” with Gio, 27.

She even revealed that the Italian stallion has given her back her sparkle.

Debbie has added more fuel to the romance rumours by stepping out without her wedding ring, which she was still wearing just two weeks ago.

And she has openly admitted her bond with her partner is “one in a million”. Debbie said as soon as she stepped into the professional dancer’s arms she ® wanted to dance with him. She said: “What I didn’t know was he was thinking the same. I don’t think we realised the absolute chemistry we’d have.

“It’s lovely seeing this good looking Italian man every day, but it’s more to do with this unique friendship that makes every minute special.

“I have a deep connection with Giovanni that I can’t describe.”

Trained ballet dancer Debbie was married to Paul for 28 years before he died from a brain tumour in March last year. But she said dance champion Giovanni has cast his own spell over her.

She said: “There’s a magic happening. The other dancers take the mickey out of us. He makes me feel special and that’s what Paul used to do, and that’s what I love about him. We’ve laughed about how similar we are. We just have this incredible bond.”

And after being married to a much older man, she insisted she has never let age stop love.

Strictly’s new Queen of Latin added: “I was married to a man 20 years older than me, who had more energy and was more supple than anybody I’d met.

“And my dad Pat, who died three years ago, was still running faster than me at 84.” ¬
