Aguero shock KO

SER­GIO AGUERO was taken to hos­pi­tal last night af­ter col­laps­ing at half-time dur­ing Ar­gentina’s game against Nige­ria.

The Manch­ester City striker com­plained of feel­ing faint be­fore pass­ing out in the chang­ing room and was taken for tests.

He had scored in the first half (pic­tured) be­fore goals from Nige­ria’s Kelechi Iheana­cho, Alex Iwobi (two) and Brian Idowu se­cured a 4-2 win for the African side.

The in­ter­na­tional friendly was played in Krasnodar in Rus­sia.

Ac­cord­ing to the Ar­gen­tinian FA, Aguero was suf­fer­ing from lipo­timia, which is a loss of con­scious­ness caused by lack of blood to the brain.

He was taken to hos­pi­tal as a pre­cau­tion. Ar­gentina boss Jorge Sam­paoli said Aguero had com­plained of feel­ing dizzy at half-time.

He had only re­cently re­turned to ac­tion af­ter a car ac­ci­dent in Am­s­ter­dam from which he suf­fered a bro­ken rib re­turn­ing from a pop con­cert.
