Aguero shock KO

- By TIM GRAY

SERGIO AGUERO was taken to hospital last night after collapsing at half-time during Argentina’s game against Nigeria.

The Manchester City striker complained of feeling faint before passing out in the changing room and was taken for tests.

He had scored in the first half (pictured) before goals from Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi (two) and Brian Idowu secured a 4-2 win for the African side.

The international friendly was played in Krasnodar in Russia.

According to the Argentinian FA, Aguero was suffering from lipotimia, which is a loss of consciousness caused by lack of blood to the brain.

He was taken to hospital as a precaution. Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli said Aguero had complained of feeling dizzy at half-time.

He had only recently returned to action after a car accident in Amsterdam from which he suffered a broken rib returning from a pop concert.
