ITV bosses are injecting more sexy antics into I’m A Celebrity this year to win over millions of Love Island viewers.

Producers want to reclaim the title of Britain’s biggest TV show. And they reckon mustwatch fumbles in the jungle will be the key to success when the show kicks off on Sunday. They reckon younger audiences will flock to watch if they can see some Love Island-style romping. The show’s first X-rated “love bath” has been installed next to the waterfall shower to give couples the chance to take a sexy soak together. They will also be able to steal some intimate moments together in “canoodle corner” on a swinging bench where there was an allotment last year. Series producer Oliver Nash told the Daily Star: “There could be romance with our cast this year – there are a lot of very good-looking people and some good potential couples coming our way.”

The I’m A Celeb move comes after the mammoth summer success of ITV2’s Love Island, which featured sexy couples pairing up in the heat.

Half of the 2017 jungle crop are single after criticism last year that only two campmates were “available”.

Former Hollyoaks hunk Jamie Lomas is tipped for a jungle romance with the Saturdays’ Vanessa White or Made in Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo. The new snug bath must be filled using a seesaw which pumps out hot running water and it is set to be a big talking point among the new batch of contestants.

The new features are said to have gone down very well in the show’s dry run with mock contestants.

Young Aussies hired to mimic the celebs’ roles were said to be so taken with the new features there were almost romps during the practice run.

I’m A Celebrity is ITV’s biggest show but is still lagging behind the BBC’s Strictly in the ratings.

More than 12.7million viewers tuned in to see the last jungle finale while Strictly pulled in 13.3m for its closing episode in 2016.

And with The X Factor’s ratings still plummeting, ITV bosses have ploughed more resources into making this year’s show with big-name signings like boxer Amir Khan. An insider said: “It would be fantastic to get the show back on the

top spot after so many years.”
