FERNE: I’LL BRING UP MY TOT ALONE

- By KATE NELSON

REALITY babe Ferne McCann has vowed to raise her baby alone after her ex-lover was convicted of a sickening acid attack.

The former Towie star is “focusing on being the best mother” to newborn Sunday since giving birth almost two weeks ago.

She spoke out yesterday after Arthur Collins was this week found guilty of the assault in a London nightclub.

He injured 22 people in what judges branded “Britain’s biggest acid attack”.

Ferne, 26, denied rumours she still holds a candle for the yob and denied Collins, 25, will play a part in the baby’s life.

She said in a statement: “Ferne’s thoughts are of course with the innocent people caught up in the events.

“No-one should ever be faced with violence on a night out. Having given birth days ago, Ferne is focusing on being ® the best mother she can be. She long ago accepted that she would be doing this alone and is determined to provide the best possible future for her daughter.” Victims described their skin as “blistering straight away” after Collins hurled acid over a crowd at the Mangle club in April. Three people were temporarily blinded. Reveller Phoebe Georgiou, 23 said: “I have a life sentence to deal with, with scars and mental injuries. “I’m dealing with such bad anxiety, panic attacks and sleep paralysis.” Collins had been celebrating Ferne’s pregnancy on the night but lashed out when a gangland feud erupted. He was on the run for six days but was nabbed by police trying to climb out of a window. He will be sentenced on December 19.
