SPECIAL
Sherlock’s The One Show Doctor Who EastEnders Blue Peter Does Strictly The Weakest Link. Call The Midwife IT was a case of “Black and Blue Peter” for the stars of the BBC children’s series when they took part in Strictly for Children In Need.
Ex-presenters DianeLouise Jordan, Anthea Turner, Mark Curry, Tim Vincent, Konnie Huq and Radzi Chinyanganya all signed up – but left with bruises and injuries.
Konnie, right, explained: “None of us realised how energetic and strenuous Strictly would be. It wasn’t Blue Peter – it was Black and Blue Peter!
“I told my dance partner we should fill our routines with lifts as I’m not a good dancer. But because I don’t have good muscle tone, I pulled a stomach muscle and was in pain and had to be strapped up. All the others had aches, bruises and injuries too.”
The six presenters were judged by Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli, Shirley Ballas and Darcey Bussell and their votes decided the winner.
Konnie said: “Even though we did it for charity, shall I say some judges were kinder than others?
“But I was thrilled to do this. My name had been mooted for Strictly before but I just didn’t want to unleash my horrific dance skills on the nation.
“Doing it as a one off for charity was better.” QUEEN of Mean Anne Robinson doesn’t have a clue who Love Island hunk Kem Cetinay is tonight. The Essex barber is known to millions as the lad who won the ITV2 dating show with Amber Davies back in the summer. He joins in a celebrity version of the quiz as part of the BBC’s big TV charity fundraiser alongside Cold Feet’s John Thomson, I’m A Celebrity’s Rosemary Shrager, Holby City’s Chizzy Akudolu and This Morning’s Rylan Clark. But host Anne is left wondering who he is after he introduces himself as “a hairdresser from Essex”. The acid-tongued host quips: “You’re a hairdresser? Did somebody drop out?” When he explains he was on Love Island and she asks where it was filmed, the poor lad struggles with his geography and has no idea which part of Spain it was. Anne also teases him about the fact he only had “a little bit of nookie” on Love Island. And when she asks how many days there are in seven weeks, Kem has to count up to 49 on his fingers to get the answer right. ¬Ê This modern design door chime is wireless which means the receiver can be placed anywhere around your home with no wiring required.
