Mauricio plotting another Kane-ing

- By JON WEST

TOTTENHAM boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to unleash fit-again stars Harry Kane and Dele Alli against Arsenal tomorrow.

Kane (knee) and Alli (hamstring) were crocked for England’s friendly games with Germany and Brazil.

But the pair took part in full training yesterday, with Three Lions team-mate Harry Winks and skipper Hugo Lloris joining them to hand Spurs a massive boost ahead of the showdown.

Striker Kane is bidding to become the first man to score in six successive league derbies between the rivals.

And boss Pochettino said: “Harry is a great player and so important for us. Against Arsenal, he is very passionate and he feels a lot for Tottenham. His scoring record against Arsenal is fantastic.

“We will assess him again and take the best decision for him and the team.”

Pochettino says he wants to emulate his “enemy” Arsene Wenger as well as beat him in his own backyard.

Success

Tottenham have won just once at Wenger’s Arsenal since 1993 – a 3-2 success seven years ago.

Now they head to the Emirates intent on maintaining their new-found status of north London’s top dogs.

Arsenal fans have been on Wenger’s back for a while, with many angry the Frenchman was handed a two-year deal in the summer.

But Pochettino insisted he would always look up to Wenger – because he created a dynasty at Arsenal.

He said: “He is my enemy because he is Arsenal manager but I would like to be like him one day – 20 years at Tottenham.

“In football, he’s one of the great managers, the same level as Sir Alex Ferguson.

“To stay 20 years and always stay near the top is not easy.

“Five years, you must be very good, very good if you’re 10 years – but 20 is amazing.” SPURS defender Toby Alderweireld will be out until January with a hamstring injury.
