MISS YOU MADLY

New Bronson agony for honeymoon wife

- By KATE NELSON kate.nelson@dailystar.co.uk

THE new wife of lag Charles Bronson relaxes on her solo honeymoon – as their dream of being together suffered a major blow.

Paula Williamson married Britain’s most violent prisoner last week, but the wedding has not helped his bid for release.

Bronson, 64, was refused parole again yesterday. There was not even a recommendation that he be moved to an open prison.

He will now have to wait another two years for a review of his case. The decision was announced as former Corrie actress Paula, 36, soaked up the sun on a beach.

She kept a copy of Bronson’s book Insanity: My Mad Life nestling between her thighs.

Paula was in Malta while the former armed robber was in his cell 2,000 ® miles away at Wakefield jail, West Yorks. Paula, 36, said: “He’s not going to be released any time soon. I know that and Charlie knows that, but he deserves the chance, like any other prisoner does, to progress.” About her honeymoon, she added: “In all honesty I felt very lonely. I spent two days in my hotel room, more or less, didn’t really want to go out or do much. “I did have one nice day on the beach. I kept hearing his voice in my mind saying: ‘Make sure you enjoy every second.’” Bronson has been locked up for 44 years, but Paula will deliver a petition asking for his release to Downing Street next month. She said: “It would be a bit silly getting married to him if I didn’t ever believe we were going to have a life outside.”
