Killers on Mr bride’s side

-

SAM Smith ARE The Killers about to become the biggest wedding band in the world?

The pop world is abuzz with rumours that Brandon Flowers and the boys are to play for Prince Harry’s nuptuals next spring.

His Royal Highness is a huge fan of the Vegas rockers and has attended numerous gigs, including their headlining British Summertime set in London’s Hyde Park last July, inset right.

When I spoke to Killers drummer Ronnie Vannucci earlier this summer, he admitted they are in regular contact with Harry.

He said then: “He’s a personal friend of mine – he’s into drummers. He’s cool, and we’ve met a few times.

“We will hook up with him after shows.”

That’s such a contrast to Will and Kate’s big day back in 2011 when Ellie Gouding was sworn to secrecy before she performed at the glittering reception.

Bookies are already taking bets on who will sing for Harry and fiancée Meghan Markle next May.

Another of Harry’s pop pals, former British Army officer James Blunt, has already ruled himself out of performing at the gig. But getting Flowers, above, and below with Harry, to play at his wedding reception – or even just at his stag-do – would make Harry a real Mr Brightside. A Palace source said: “Harry is well connected in the pop world – he’s met so many artists. “There are a few names in the hat who could perform on the day, but nothing has been decided yet. Harry will also want to take his future wife’s tastes into account.” Let’s hope Prince Charles knows all the words to the Killers’ Hot Fuss album.
