Amir in eviction shocker

Duo told to eat treats, claim fans

AMIR Khan and Iain Lee were at the centre of a Jungle “fix” storm last night over Strawberry-gate.

The pair angered viewers – but were also then later involved in a shock eviction twist.

FURIOUS fans are convinced TV bosses told Iain Lee and Amir Khan to feast on their Dingo Dollar treat.

They say the pair were under orders to betray their starving campmates.

Viewers watched in disbelief as Iain and Amir won strawberries and cream in the challenge – but then scoffed them before returning to camp and lying to their pals that they had failed to win the task.

They later owned up – and fans reckon they were told to eat the treat to cause drama and boost ratings because the show had “become too dull”.

The row came as both Iain and Amir were “randomly” given immunity from the first eviction in last night’s show.

One viewer wrote: “Iain and Amir had obviously been told to eat the strawberries by the show to spice it up!”

Another tweeted: “Amir and Iain eating strawberries was the fakest thing ever LOOOOL producers defo told them to do that to start tension.”

Confess

And another said: “Am I the only one who thinks Iain and Amir were told to eat the treat, then confess to cause drama because the show’s more boring than last year?”

An ITV spokeswoman insisted: “They absolutely were not told to do it.”

But fans also say Iain was told to create controversy. And we can reveal one of Ant and Dec’s scriptwriters on the show has written for Iain before. Andy Milligan was a lead writer on episodes of the comedy series Celebrity Soup in 2006.

But the pair’s betrayal failed to ignite a full-blown row.

Ant and Dec admitted they hoped Dennis Wise would explode with rage. But the former football hardman tried to get his fellow celebs to “move on”.

When Jamie asked him to confront Amir, Dennis said: “I can’t be bothered, mate. It’s gone. Iain needs to come back into the fold.

“Amir did. He sat with us last night. He’s not bothered now. It’s all done with. It’s a new day.”
