KATE Price broke down on live TV yesterday as she spoke about her mum’s battle with the same illness that killed Keith Chegwin.

The model has turned to antidepressants to deal with her mother Amy’s lung illness.

Yesterday she had to be ushered off ITV’s Loose Women in floods of tears as she spoke about trying to come to terms with the diagnosis.

She is caring for the 64-year-old, who ® has an incurable condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

The mum of five revealed that telly legend Keith, who died aged 60 on Monday, had been comforting her and her mum. She said: “We’d been speaking to him a lot. I knew all along about Keith but I never said it to anyone.

“I can’t believe that within six months he’s gone. The thing is my mum is going to die. I just don’t want her to die.” Sobbing Kate, 39, then asked to leave the set and was taken away by co-star Ruth Langsford.

The ex glamour girl is “gutted” that Princess, 10, and Junior, 12, will not be with their sick nan on December 25.

They are spending Christmas with dad Peter Andre and his wife Emily because it is their turn to have the kids.

She said: “This could be mum’s last Christmas.”

Kate has had a “year from hell” filled with heartache and admitted she is “hurt”. She revealed plans to “start afresh as a new person” in 2018 and vowed to ditch both her celeb personas of Jordan and Kate Price.
