CITY GUARD WON’T SLIP

Pep closes in on new mark Go double Dutch on bumper day of darts

PEARSON’S

SPURS have won more away Premier League matches at Man City (10) than at any other club and are unbeaten in their last four against the runaway leaders.

However City have won their last 15 league games on the spin, so something has to give at the Etihad this evening.

This isn’t Pep Guardiola’s longest winning run, given his Bayern Munich side once won 19 on the bounce.

I am sure he will be challenging his City side to break that record.

The next five games for City are Spurs (H), Bournemouth (H), Newcastle (A), Palace (A) and Watford (H) – City are 3-1 with BetVictor to break Guardiola’s winning run with Bayern and those fixtures could be tougher.

City are even-money at BetVictor to get 100 or more points this term; 6-1 to go through the season unbeaten and 20-1 NOT to win a major trophy this season.

City are 11-20 to win this evening, with Spurs 21-4 and the draw at 18-5. Sergio Aguero has scored 99 goals in 133 appearances in all competitions at the Etihad and, significantly, he has a good record against the “big six” – 35 goals in 52 league games.

Aguero is 3-1 to open the scoring and I think he will get the nod this evening over Gabriel Jesus, even though the latter played at Old Trafford last week.

Kevin De Bruyne is 4-7 to be named PFA Player of the Year but in recent weeks his team-mate David Silva has arguably been the key.

The Spaniard is 13-2 at BetVictor, having been 25-1 at the start of October.

Harry Kane has scored 33 goals in 33 league games in 2017 and is three shy of Alan Shearer’s 1995 record. Kane is 7-4 to add to his tally tonight and I think Spurs will score. The problem is I expect City to score more – City to win and both teams to score at 7-4 is the recommendation.

Liverpool lost 4-3 at the Vitality Stadium 12 months ago but are unlikely to throw away a two-goal lead tomorrow.

Jurgen Klopp is rotating his squad more this season than last – he made just 54 changes to his starting XI in the whole of the 2016-17 season yet has already made 65 changes after just 17 games so far this term.

Liverpool have lost only one of their last 22 league matches against teams outside the “big six” and it is possible the Reds will appreciate playing on the road, given they have been frustrated by Everton and West Brom at Anfield in the last six days.

Liverpool are 1-2 to win, with the Cherries 6-1 and the draw at 18-5.

I expect to see goals and the recommendation is for Liverpool to win 4-1, which is 20-1. Go to BetVictor.com
