Star Wars geeks in blast at film gaffes

STAR Wars lovers have spotted 16 bloopers in new movie The Last Jedi – including wrong props and zero-gravity defying bombs.

Eagle-eyed geeks bombarded movie mistake websites with a string of continuity and factual errors missed by production members in the sci-fi blockbuster.

Fans soon reported the goofs from the eighth instalment of the Star Wars saga starring Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley to moviemistakes.com and online film experts IMDB.

One superfan wrote: “In the opening sequence the bombers are going to throw bombs on enemy ship.

“Since they are in space this won’t work.

“Bombs don’t fall down in space. They would need some kind of fire device to fire them down.”

Another said: “When Kylo Ren fights Luke Skywalker, his hold on to the lightsabre switches from backhand to normal and backhand again between cuts.”

One fan added: “When Rey speaks to Luke it’s raining. Then Rey leaves Luke’s planet one shot later, it is not raining any more and Luke and his clothes have become dry in just a few seconds.” A Star Wars nut responded on Twitter: “Part of me would love a copy of the script for Star Wars: The Last Jedi for Christmas – and a red pen, so I could correct all the mistakes.”

The errors have not stopped the juggernaut from earning monster money at the box office.

The Last Jedi, released last week, took £27.5million in the UK, the biggest opening of 2017.

It also took £336m worldwide – the third biggest opening weekend of all time. And that enormous sum is expected to soar in the new year when it opens in China on January 5.
