SUPER SAVER BEGONIAS

-

FAN favourite Pauline was bumped off last night in a shock plot twist.

Dozy Geoff (Reece Shearsmith) was asked to murder a pal’s wife but got the wrong woman.

In the closing moments we learned gobby Pauline (Steve Pemberton) was dead when Mickey (Mark Gatiss) discovered her body.

Viewers know Pauline for shouting at “dole scum” in her job as a Restart officer at Royston Vasey’s Jobcentre.

Steve, who first played Pauline on the show almost 20 years ago, said: “We’ve done what we’ve always done… kill your darlings. That’s what we’ve always lived by. Pauline will be very much missed.”

He added: “We thought it would be more poignant not to see her lying on the bed. We did like the idea of finally showing Pauline without her glasses on. But that would have been too much.”

The surreal show is back for three specials to mark its 20th anniversary.

But the stars will bring back the characters once again on a live tour next year – and Pauline will be brought back from the dead.

Steve said: “You will get to see more of Pauline. As we’ve proved with Tubbs and Edward when everyone thought they were dead… it’s not always final.” JODIE Whittaker is clearly breaking down the gender barriers.

She’s not only becoming the first ever female Doctor Who but now she’s turning the Nativity’s “Three Wise Men” into “Three Wise Women”.

Just 24 hours before Jodie makes her debut on Christmas Day as the new Time Lord, she is appearing on a radio music show.

It’s called Three Wise Women – a twist to the Biblical tale of The Magi visiting Jesus when he was born – and airs on BBC 6 Music starting on Christmas Eve.

Jodie along with singer Beth Ditto and actress Sharon Horgan will be playing music that has inspired them.

She said: “I’m over the moon to be asked to be part of this.”
