Meghan at festive bash with Queen
GRINNING Meghan Markle was fast-tracked into the Royal Family yesterday by attending their traditional pre-Christmas lunch.
Prince Harry’s fiancée joined her future in-laws for the annual gettogether at Buckingham Palace.
Every year the Queen invites her entire extended family to the meal before she sets off to her estate in Sandringham, Norfolk, where she spends the Christmas holiday with her immediate family.
Meghan, 36, looked delighted and very relaxed as Harry drove them to the palace.
Wearing a high-necked lace frock, the Suits actress giggled and grinned as the couple drove past the waiting photographers.
Her invitation is yet more proof that normal royal protocols seem to have
PALACE PARTY: Her Majesty been ditched to allow the divorcee to join the family.
In a move that surprised experts on Royal traditions, the Queen has even invited Meghan to the close-knit gathering at Sandringham.
The remarkable gesture comes despite the fact she will not officially be classed as a Royal until she weds her prince in Windsor Castle on May 19 next year.
Meghan’s immediate acceptance into the monarchy’s inner circle is in stark contrast to how Princess Kate was treated.
Prince William’s wife was not welcomed into the fold at Sandringham until she had a wedding ring on her finger.
Yesterday, Kate was pictured arriving at the palace with son George.
