SWANSEA plan to go double Dutch to save their season. The Premier League’s bottom side are weighing up an Ajax dream team of Frank de Boer (left) and Dennis Bergkamp. Swansea axed Paul Clement on Wednesday and

ready to turn to the Dutch duo. De Boer proved a dismal failure at Crystal Palace earlier this season.

Bergkamp was on Swansea’s radar in 2015, and is available having lost his job as Ajax assistant on Wednesday.

De Boer is desperate to prove a point after being sacked 10 weeks into a three-year contract at Selhurst Park. Former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is also interested, but is yet to hear from the club’s American owners or chairman Huw Jenkins.

The Swans contacted former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal after axing Clement.

But talks never got going, forcing them to appoint club legend Leon Britton as caretaker boss for tomorrow’s clash with Palace, despite only joining the coaching staff last month.

Britton, who first joined the club 15 years ago, believes the club must return to the ‘Swansea way’ to survive.

He said: “People used to speak of us as a model football club and how we played and went about our business.

“We need to try and get the club back on track and settle down.”
