Harry’s girl cracks Christmas
PRINCE Harry revealed Meghan Markle had a “fantastic” Christmas and the royals are like “the family she never had”.
While guest editing Radio 4’s Today programme yesterday, he said his family “loved having” his 36-year-old fiancée for Christmas. Asked about how she coped meeting her future in-laws the prince, 33, replied: “It was fantastic, she really enjoyed it.” Meghan and Harry joined the Queen at Sandringham on Christmas Day after they were photographed with other royals at a church service. Harry revealed they stayed with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at nearby Anmer Hall, Norfolk.
He said: “The family loved having her there. We had an amazing time.
“We had great fun staying with my brother and sister-inlaw and running round with the kids. It was fantastic.”
The prince said Meghan had to be introduced to several family traditions.
He added: “We’ve got one of the biggest families I know of, and every family is complex.
‘She’s done an absolutely amazing job. It’s the family I suppose that she’s never had.’
Meghan was born to Doria Loyce Ragland, a social worker and yoga instructor, and Tho- mas Markle, an Emmy Awardwinning lighting director.
They divorced when she was six and Meghan grew up attending private schools in Hollywood. She is close to her mum, but has reportedly had a rockier relationship with her dad.
