Hotshot Kane is not for sale

- By PAUL BROWN

MAURICIO POCHETTINO expects Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to resist all offers for Harry Kane.

The striker broke the Premier League record for goals in a calendar year by hitting 39 in 2017.

But his chase for three hat-tricks in a row is in danger – he has a cold and could miss Tuesday’s game at Swansea.

His achievements have not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid expected to consider a big-money bid next summer.

But Pochettino said: “That is for Daniel Levy, not me. It is easy for me, for Daniel it would be different. Do I trust Daniel to say no? Yes, of course.

“How much is he worth? It is not good to compare. We want him here, so there is no current price.

“We can talk about many things but it is impossible to put a price on him.

“Nothing has changed. He was a superstar three years ago, a year ago, six months ago, one week ago. He has always been treated as a superstar.

“We trusted him from day one here because we felt the potential. He deserves full credit for all he has achieved.

“It is possible he could be this type of player, a one-club player like Francesco Totti at Roma. It would make our fans happy as Harry is a great professional. Why not?”

Kane (above) is not training with the squad ahead of the trip to Wales.

Pochettino added: “He’s at home because he cannot move.

“He is ill, a cold. He is at home and not feeling good. I don’t know if he will be available.”
